Page 3, following line 4:                                                                                                       
     Insert a new bill section to read:                                                                                         
"* Sec. 4. AS 24.60.030 is amended by adding a new subsection to                                                              
read:                                                                                                                           
         (k)  If a legislator requests to be excused from voting on a                                                           
     question before a house of the legislature under (g) of this section                                                       
     and is required by that house to vote on the question because a                                                            
     member of that house objects, the objection and the name of the                                                            
     member making the objection shall be recorded in the journal of                                                            
     that house."
